Palm is changing my life!

I read a thread before Christmas about palms and so I decided to get over my paper dependancy and get one. WOW!! I can keep everything on there! I just hope I don't screw it up! I love this thing! I got the TX and love it! I have my whole family organized on it, and my business! I am mobile, but it would work for anyone! No more bos, notepaper, card catalogs, directions on paper.... I have everything in one little palm, and I just sync it every night with my computer with the touch of a button! It was easy to learn, and if you can use the internet, you can use a palm! Thanks guys for opening my eyes and saving me sooo much time!

I've been thinking about getting one also. Guess it's time to get my hubby to the store and help me pick one out (he's my resident geek LOL). I'm hoping for a decent sale on them now that the holidays are over.

I'm glad you like yours so much. I got one for my hubby a few years ago for Christmas (should say we got it together and he got me one). He uses his and I ended up taking mine back to the store. I still like paper toooooo much. Too much trouble trying to figure it out. I'm doing good just getting on this computer!!

I love my Palm, I sync it every night with 123 pet software and then I take it with me where ever I go. and of course being the good business owner and groomer that I am I always talk about my shop when we are out. I can usually pick up a new client or 2 where ever we are and having the palm, my business cards and a brochue make it simple to make an appointment while away from my shop. It also helpsds to clinch those oh maybe I'll call you people

You must have Windows Mobile on your Palm. I don't and Pet 123 only works with Windows. I am so sad. I really wanted to use Pet123. I have the E2.

None of the grooming programs run with Palm software. I have the same problem. I really want Pet123, but it only works with Windows Mobile.

Palm TX Question

Your Palm TX sounds great! Could you guys tell me how the appointment calandar feature works on your palm TX? Is it possible to upload any type of calandar into it, or do you have to use the particlular style of calandar that comes with it? To clarify, I want a calandar that shows a daily calandar with each 1/2 hour as well as a feature that shows me weekly and monthly calandar with appts. I never got a palm for my last biz cause I didn't think It would show my calandar properly for ease of booking. I'd like to see my week/month at a glance for speed in booking. Thanks for the info!

Only like one of the actual Palm's come with windows mobile. I have the E2 that I got last year before I knew any better and it does not have it. I wish it did.

I would like to get one I was thinking e2. my shop is small and would like to use for inventory items. total sales. I think 123 pet software is to much for just that. can you use just the excel and calendar. can the calendar to setup appt.?

You can. I wanted the Pet123 becuase it has inventory features and keeps track of appts. clients, money. How much each client has spent with you etc. It also downloads into QuickBooks. Which would make my life much easier to just send the file to my acct.

The calendar will only show the the start and end time of the appt. The open time shows hours. Appts. can be made in 15 min incriments. Am I making sense? It is very easy to schedule. then you can look weekly and monthly. If you hit the block on the week with the stylus, it gives you the information. Go to palm.com and they have samples...
