how do you feel about using the GH? I love mine and i think that it is a very useful aid. Most owners never notice it is even there. Ive seen on other places that dog groomers feel it is cruel and can be dagerous. But if u use it correctly it can be a great grooming restraint. someone also made the point that it is not very noticable and it is less noticable that seeing 2 groomers hold a dog down to get hi/her nails clipped. well i find it helpful. EX: My friend saw at petsomethingCo a groomer taking the dog by the neck and then shaking it to get the dog undercontrol causing the dog to fall off the grooming table. AND the OWNER WAS THERE!!!! WOW when i saw this i thought about the GH and how the person should have used that!!!!

I was finally able to use the GH on the dog I actually bought it for today. What a wonderful thing to have. This poodle didn't get to dance, twist or even climb the wall, it was great!!!!!!
I don't use it on all of my dogs that I groom but on a lot of them.
Sometimes I wonder how I did it without it for sooooo long. I was dumb not to get one when I first worked with Tammy and that was all she could talk about.

What I see a lot of is dogs left on a loop with so much slack that if the dog jumped, it would have really jerked its neck, possibly broken it. Just today in two different shops I saw that.

The loop, regardless of what kind you use, really shouldn't have much slack, the dog's front feet should be able to stay on the table should the dog slip. Of course I loosen mine to do the head, etc, but I try not to let there be too much slack. It's too dangerous in my opinion.

I would not groom without my Groomers Helper. It's too frustrating for one, lol.

You ended your "Pet somethings" with a "Co," and I was going to add that PetCo corporate has approved use of the Groomers Helper, the groomer just needs to buy it her/him self. That girl could have saved herself a lot of frustration, and a lot of trouble had the owner decided to give her a piece of her mind.
