Who is going to the All Amerian Grooming Show

The 35th All American Grooming Show is in Chicago, Ill in Aug.I've never been there and I'd like to go. Got to figure out how to go, by air or by bus...bus is alot cheaper. I just don't want to drive even though it's a 3 hr drive. TOO much traffic!! They don't have their web site up and going yet so you can see who is going to be talking ect. Wish they hurry, we have to make plans.

Please link the website up as soon as someone knows it's working. I've always planned yearly to go to the Groom classic in KS every year but missed it this year I'd welcome the chance to go to another one. Not to mention Chicago is so much closer

I'd love to get the take on this show from anyone who is familiar with it. I was thinking about going. I'm seriously afraid of driving through chicago. I've done the "loop" twice on my way to Wisconsin to visit my sister and had to take a change of pants with me if ya know what I mean. Lol. Is it in a busy area of Chicago? Is it easy to get to? Can your dog stay in the hotel?

I'll be driving from WI, so.... according to my husband.... I won't have to deal with Chicago at all. Which is good, because if I did I wouldn't be going. No need to explain the extra pants to me. I won't drive in Chicago. Can't say I do all that well even as a passenger in a car when venturing through that cluster of.... well, ya know. That city makes me a wreck.

bathing situation

Does anyone who has competed there before know about the bathing situation there? Is there an area to do that? I've never been there before. scrubapup, my sister is from Whitelaw, WI. Hmmmm, I'm wondering if I can drive the whole way there myself or if I need to bring another driver.

I have been there, and as far as I know, no bathing area. Last year I used a friends mobile...

I'm going. I've only been there once, just to watch the creative competition 2 years ago. I'm going to compete there this year instead of Hershey. I'll be driving 2 hours instead of 10 and it's much less expensive.

I am planning on going there for the whole weekend. Even though it is just a 4 hour drive from me, I am flying............................too much dog show driving for me so I am going to "treat" myself and fly out. (Although if I decide to compete, then I will make the drive.)
