We had someone call today and want to bring all 3 of their dogs in the same day (which the office took because they never turn anyone down even though we were already extremely busy and down one groomer). A chow, scottie, and a rat terrier. Well...all they got right was the chow and the poor thing was one of the most matted dogs I've ever seen. So was the "scottie" which was actually something else totally, not sure what. But the best of all the "rat terrier" who was actually a nice big pit bull lol. I think it's weird when people have no idea what breed their dog is.

I had someone come in when I worked in corporate saying that she had a yorki puppy....I peered over the counter and almost lost my jaw. In walked what seemed to be a pit/terrier puppy. Looked like a wire-haired pit puppy. It was adorable, but NOT a yorki. It was at least 25-30 lbs. I told her politely that I didn't think it was a yorki. She said "really, I kind of thought not". So we got to talking. Cutest sweetest thing, whatever it was.....but DEFINITELY not a yorki puppy.
We had an Afghan/Shepherd come in and the guy swears it's a pure afghan. Weird looking thing too.

The other day a customer wanted me to shave her two pugs. Sure, why not?
A few days later she called me to have me groom her bf's dog. What kind of dog is it? Oh I don't know, a miniature collie...Oh, a sheltie! I guess so? He doesn't have a tail?
It ended up being an aussie, but luckily he was a good dog and I wish I got pics of the haircut, he turned out really cute with a 1 comb a/o.
