I'm sooo sorry about your rotten day!

The loss of your pups must be heartbreaking!!

Back in 1996 +/_, I had Weim pups. One of the weak ones got out away from the group & got too cold. I learned from that to make sure they were extra extra snuggly warm. I was soooo ripped up, I had my girl spayed & haven't had pups since. (He wasn't the only one- )

Take care, I'll be thinking of you & your little babies,
    Erica

                  Oh soooo sorry.

How sad. I am so msorry tom hear about your loss. As for the senior man; it sounds like he was testing you to see if he could get away with it. I thought you weren't going to be paid the rest! Hugs too. Sounds like many of us are having a ruff time lately. Hope that dark cloud lifts soon. Concentrate on the darling little ones you have left.

When it rains it pours. Everyone has bad days, yours was just a doubly bad day. But that means you will have a lot of good days a head of you. Just keep your head up and be thankful for the puppies that are still alive and well. Be thankful you have your own business with clients, even if they have a sense of humour to you. That's what makes life great. Hang in there. If it makes you feel any better, I could always tell you about a few of my days when I had my business, including carbon monoxide poising, heat exhaustion, leaks in both water tanks, and outlets that stopped working. I am sure that will make you feel better. Take care.

That must be horrible to lose the pups. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. Are you weighing the pups twice a day? I was told by the owner of the stud I bred my girl to that if they aren't gaining at each weigh in, they should be tubed. She said that the problem is that if they aren't sucking hard enough or are being pushed out of the way they will get weak very quickly and not be able to nurse properly. It will look like they are nursing fine, but they won't be getting enough milk. Anyway, I weighed mine on a letter scale twice a day for the first couple of weeks.

Sorry to hear about your little puppies. I wonder what happened?

As for the white schnauzer guy, I mean c'mon! The last time a dog cost 5.50 to groom was NEVER! And the nerve to ask for change from a ten to boot!!!
I had a woman when I first began mobile grooming, she asked the prices for a golden retriever and a springer. I told her. She booked. After I groomed the dog I gave her the total price...which would the price for a golden plus a springer...right? Well she was stunned! How did the price go from (just a golden) to (the price of a golden and a springer) and I told her the price for each dog, she nodded. Then I said, you add those together and this is the total. She shrugged. She got on the phone while writing out a check and bitched and moaned and groaned about this groomer (meaning me while I was standing there) was charging her this much money for her dogs. She said to the person on the other line, it was far more money than she thought or was willing to pay.
Needless to say I never saw or spoke or had contact with her again.
The kik is this, she owns a big resort! Her home is this huge home with a pool and tennis courts and part of it is a resort for summer travelers!!! She owned for decades and each time I pass that big place (and it is big and pricy) I think of the ole cow that thought I was expensive.
