% of women in grooming

Interesting subject on a radio show tonight. % of women in certain jobs. It made me wonder if there has been a study of this in the grooming realm since it is very much a woman based business so far as I have seen in my 22+ years. So Stephen do you have any basic numbers on the subject? Just how dominant are women in the field?

I don't know any stats on it but just from the board it seems like the majority of us are ladies The only ones I know off hand are Allan and Jason, I think.

Even the few guy groomers I have met in person have been at least a little bit effeminate. lol Except for the owner of the grooming school I went to, he was sexist. I guess it bothered him to work in a field with so many women. lol

Where I learned to groom, one of the groomers there was a guy.

I had a guy in my class and he was a blast to be around. His wife was our main instructor and he decided to learn grooming and go to school. I think we should have more guys grooming

Hey Erin, My husband is a Metro, lol. Try explaining what that is to my grandma. Some of his Christmas presents included 2 new "man braclets" and a Gucci wallet. He was also excited to go buy me a new burberry wallet, lol. Still can't get him to come with me to get a pedicure though. He's so cute

I don't think Metro covers all male groomers. Metro is when they are in touch with their femanin side. I know the guy I got my trailer from is a groomer and he sure is not metro. Sometime I wish my hubby was more in touch with his femanin side. He is almost like cave man. Goes hunting and won't wash the blood out of the back of his truck cauz that is a "trophy" of the kill UG UG say cave man.

The salon I just moved from, my boss was a man, he even taught grooming classes and we managed to also get a male in one of them. I think they make grooming alot more fun cause they bring just such a change in personality and probably the male hormones help keep all the girls in line! HAHA.

oh and....not only will women take over the world...its gonna be ME taking over the world!
