  • Pictures of the bows that I make

So I finally broke down and took pictures of some of the bows that I make. I use two basic shapes, the simple bow and the double bow. Both styles I got from Melissa Verplank's book on making bows. I use thread to gather through the center and to sew on a button or bead. I use a heavy duty thread. I don't glue because the bead or button pops off too easy. All I have to do to secure is wrap a rubber band around in the same method that you would use in the first place.

Most of the bows cost me under .25 cents. If I use crystals for the center they can cost more but I only do that for really good clients. I have the three sizes. I use the large bows to put on collars. That the method I use the most because it doesn't mat up the hair.

Really cute. So you sew them before you apply the rubber band. I never thought of that. Great idea. Thanks

Thanks you all. I really am happy with how my bows turns out. They are simple to make but I love that every grooming dog goes out of there with a little bit of my extra touch with them.

You should see my button and bead supplies. I literally have thousands of them. Ha ha. I really need a 10 (or is it 12) step program. I love buying button and beads and then organizing them.
