  • My Thyroid cancer adventure continues

I have waited all month for my new support group to meet, and it was a lot of fun.
We just sat around and talked about our experiences, where the better hospitals were,
and what surgeons in the area were the better ones.

I came home with questions I wanted to ask my enocronologist and emailed him that evening.

    WOULD YOU BELIEVE!

He called me the next morning at 7:15 am to personally talk to me!
I was SO impressed, most specialist just don't take the time.
He did tell me my cancer antigen test was so that they would know I wan't
terminal. Nice to know I passed that one.

I am stressing over my visit with the surgeon on Tues. I sure hope he is not just
the "I just do surgery type" some of them are.

What I want is someone that knows what this kind of cancer is, (most doctors never even see it)
I want some more diagnostics before he goes in there.
So many people I have read on the cancer board I frequent these days, that have
this type, have surgery after surgery after surgery.
I want one. Just one. And I want to hear that my biopsey is WRONG.
I don't care if it just goes up one step to a lesser kind, two steps, or Poof the whole thing ends up benign.
    I can dream can't I ?
Good thing I am super busy with spring dogs, and once my day stars, don't have much time
to dell on it. More after Tues.

    HUGE stuff to deal with!

Wow, that's a lot of stuff to be looking into, finding out about, trying to cope with - I wish all the best for you PLUS the best doctors!! The best thing you can do is be your own advocate, so keep on finding out what you need to be informed and proactive. Good for you!
