  • What breed do you think??? Part 2

Sorry I forgot her pic. Hit the wrong button.

Like I said earlier, not sure what she is. I've thought GP, not that large. Very hairy and one of the largest dogs I groom. She is very nice, just LOTS of hair.

Didn't get a after pic. I did her with a 3/4" comb a/o and really shorten up her back feathers.

            Yep

Its a Pyr. I just did one yesterday and the day before.

So bad they took me five hours for one, and 4 for the other.

Great workout. Lots of trapped undercoat.

            I love big dogs.

Someone around here had a litter of Golden Retriever/Pyrenees pups. They grew up to look just about like that. A couple of them are a little more gold, but they have badger markings, and their head and body structure is pretty much like the dog in the pic. So that would be my guess.

I agree with Helly, Pyrn/Golden mix... I used to groom one that looked just like that, thats what they thought she was (Mom was Pyrn, dad was sneaky tramp dog of unknown origins. LOL)

I have seen pure breed pyreenes that are mismarked like that. So that is my guess.

Looks very Pyrenees. The correct colors include white with markings of gray, badger, reddish brown or tan. So the markings are still Pyrenees. The ears however are set very high on the head and the Pyrenees are usually level with the eyes so this could come from the G. Retriever.

I'm in grooming school, we are actually studing this stuff right now so this guess the breed thing is fun and helping me!!!

                              Hmmm.......

Can't be a dwarf Pyre, it's build/legs are too uniform. Gotta be a Pyre cross.
With what I have no idea.lol
