  • I finally get to post pix of my newest little blobs....

Well, this evening I became the proud "Mom" of three little kittens. They were born on Saturday (14th). Their mother rejected them and a kind-hearted lady scooped them up and took care of them until giving them to me to raise.

They are all short haired. One male brown tabby, one female brown tabby and one female black with a white spot on her belly.

Since I got them on St. Patricks Day, I'm asking for "Luck o' the Irish" names.

Fingers crossed that I attached the photo correctly.

      The male should be...

      Patrick!
Having a hard time thinking of female names. There are a lot of them! They are very cute!

              CC...that picture spells CUTE!!!!

How's about Limerick (can be naughty or nice), Soda Bread (cuz that's so dumb, it's actually funny. sort of. not really.) and Mike,...for a HUGE multitudes of reasonings...but Micheal is Irish.
(Tho that would give an entirely different definition of "Mike's Thingy".)

Precious! I like name Clover (like the 4-leaf kind), and my dad is Irish and his middle name is Boru after the first king of Ireland.
Bulldogs are adorable, with faces like toads that have been sat on.

If they turn out anything like my kittens, who are called Pink and Ruby Rose, then you should call them Brat, Bratty and Brattier...lolol. All I ever seem to do is say Pink no, Pink dont touch, Pink leave the dogs alone, Pink stop chewing the cords, Pink stop playing in the toilet!!!

I had a kitten like that. His original was Smeagol. But he was constantly into things and bothering the other occupants. So he became Boog because he was bugging me all the time.

So, I think I've got them named. The brown tabby male is Clover, the brown tabby female is Patty and the little black girl is Emily. Their little digestive tracts are adjusting to a more appropriate diet and feeding schedule. They are eating well and seem to be quite content. I will post more photos in a few days, when they open their eyes.

I love, love, love, "Clover"! That was a great suggestion BDM!
Actually, all the names are perfect.
Do they get to live with you or (I'm afraid to ask...) do they move on to new homes?
They should live with you...now that I'm attached to them.

CC..I know what a commitment from the heart it is...to do what you are doing for the lil kittens.
I just want to say that it makes me smile...to know that there are folks like you.

Viva la Clover, Patty and Emily!

They will stay with me until they are at least 9 weeks old. Generally, I will keep hand-feeds a few weeks longer, as they tend to need a few more weeks to become confident enough for me to let go. The rescue that I foster will vaccinate, deworm, microchip and spay/neuter (if old enough) before adopting out.

I would love to keep them all, but my little house is busting at the seams already. I cry over each one when I have to give them up, but the joy I get from them is worth the pain.
