Finally!!! I had a good "come back"!

You know how you always think "I wish I thought of saying that" after you have some one say something stupid or mean to you. I finally had a witty reply to a jerk w/a stupid comment who called for pricing yesterday.

Jerk: How much does it cost do have an Australian Shephard shaved for the spring?

Me:If he is in good shape he will cost between $$ and $$ if he is in a matted or very dirty condition he will run between && and &&.

Jerk: IT COSTS THAT MUCH TO GROOM A FLIPPIN DOG!!!!!

Me: (very calmly) If he is flipping he will cost you extra.

Jerk hangs up....lol....I was proud of that one;-)

I had a man come and I groomed his pom. When done I told him it was $$. He said the darn dog wasn't worth that! I came back with "Well I am!"

It feels good when you have a good comeback hey.... good for you!!

Its amazing how some people think that just to bath a dog or clip it is SO EASY and how dare we charge that much. One of my maintenance customers ended up having to bath his Bischon X between regular maintenance and said to me "you work really hard" "I can't believe how hard it was just to BATH him" I told him the bath is the EASY part. lol... however he did say "you do a great job Deb" It's nice to have some justification once in awhile.

maybe he didn't know, could be his first groomer visit. I don't think he was criticizing you. I've had this reaction before and just explaining in terms of time and they understand.

The cheapest place in town to get my haircut is 12 dollars.
It takes her like 15 minutes.
Thats 48 bucks an hour. And they cut the hair on you head only.
My husband doen't even take that long. Same price.

I just did a Grt. Pyr. that took me 4 hours to do and made no where near that much per hour.
