cockers HELP PLEASE

ok so these two cockers I normally have for daycare came in for grooming today I graqb the card and see they get a 10 k .so I looked at ehm and thought they have really bad skin,warts and moles all over scabs -I decided to go with an 8 1/2 instead thinking the people would never know the differance.im shaveing down,and It seemed like when I got to the feet they looked rediculaous with little teddy bear feet.how do you get them to look right when they dont want any hair on the dog-it looked sooo dumb.these were the sweetest cockers Ive ever seen I love them so much.If I knew I could have a cocker like these I would get one in a minute.Anyway I I felt bad about making them look dumb.I dont know how to make it look good when they have no hair.any tips? advise ? something I dont know?

Shaved down cockers look dumb, but if that's what the owner wants, ya gotta do it. I try to give them a tight "cat foot" if possible. Otherwise, I will give them poo feet with a 7F reverse on the tops. Because their feet are usually large, they will never look great. On my cocker strips, I try to do the sides and legs one blade longer than the back. Gives them a semblance of a pattern, and looks better as they grow out.

Yeah!! thats right they have big beefty feet!!! very thick and meaty .

I do the same thing...makes them look smaller and brings in less of the outdoors indoors

Yeah, but they still will pee every time you look at them. AND when they get older they get those awful warts.

I do the same things as the other people. If you have Theory of Five it shows how to get a natural looking foot by taking the clippers in reverse over the foot. I really like the look.

I would not do poodle feet on a cocker, sometimes its hard enough just shaving the pads without being bit.However I would make the feet tight by using the same blade on the feet(between the toes, do not cut in reverse ) you want tighter not shorter . scissor stray hairs to neaten.

If I use a 10 or 8 on the back, I will do the rest of the pattern in a 5 to leave just a hint of the Cocker pattern. I just backbrush the hair on the feet and scissor the feet short the whole way around to match the length of the leg.
