I had the pleasure of going to see the sled team when we went to Jamaica a couple of years ago. We met all the dogs and got a ride on their "sled". (My husband even has a scar from when Chukka jumped on him, lol). We were lucky to meet Damion Robb who now spends the winters in the states and CAnada racing. He was absolutely amazed at the whole concept of dog grooming and asked for me to send pictures of dogs that I've groomed. We've remained friends through e-mail and facebook. Newton, the head musher is actually participating in the Iditarod this year. I'm rooting for him.don't find yourself up a creek without a poodle.

I actually went there last year to go dog sledding. We had to stop all the time to water the dogs because it was hot. It was a lot of fun! I met Newton who will run the Iditarod with a leased team. He is the nicest guy ever!! I like that all the "sled dogs" they have are rescues! Their kennel facility is really neat and clean!
I do prefer mushing in snow though....lol...but it was a great experience

Do you think the Jamaicans get sick of perfect weather? Why on earth do they want to compete is cold sports.
I did like the looks of the little buggy being pulled by the dogs. Some day I will hook my dogs and get them to pull me around."The most affectionate creature in the world is a wet dog." -Ambrose Bierce
