Update on "don't know what to do"

Well I had posted about the client who I was uncomfortable with going to today. I went to put his address into my GPS and it says there is no such address. Went into mapquest, again, there is no street called Grant St. There is a Grant Ave and a Grand St. So now I don't know if I misheard this man or if he gave me a bogus address. I don't know what to do.

If I remember correctly, you don't have his phone number, right? There's not much you can do....did you try going to anywho.com and put in his name? Sometimes I've been able to verify addresses or phone numbers through that website.

Sounds like you wasted enough time and thought on this already. Wait for him to call you. I would not go alone if at all. Drop this one! Yesterday I had a bad feeling but followed thru on a JRussel and now I wish I had not gone. I don't want to go into the story but it was a
dog that had never been professionally groomed, a fear biter, and an ignorant owner. Bad combination is all I will say.

I think for you, all the signs are there to NOT follow up on this one. As for cats.....no way would I ever try to groom one after what I have read here.

Well, I tried every which way I knew to look this person up. figured that the ONLY thing I could have misheard for a T for a D, so it had to be Grand St. So I went. As I got there and went down the street I called my husband and told him where I actually was, told him what area, and he told me to keep driving. It was a SCARY area with a lot of people walking around I wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley, so I just kept driving and went to my next appointment early. They never called to ask where I was or why I didn't show, so I have a feeling it was a fake appointment.
