OK, here is Bear. I was so excited to do him tonight. WHAT A DOLL! He's 13 and his foster mom has never had a dog that needed a hair cut before. So this was a new experience for her. She'd had his face done on Friday by a groomer friend of mine actually. He told her the dog was a matted mess, and I had to laugh because I used to bust on him all the time that a CURLY coat that you can't comb through easily is NOT the same as a matted one. This dog had about 3 small matts on him LOL. The foster mom stayed with me in the van to watch. When we were done she confessed she thought it would take me 30 minutes tops. She never realized so much went into grooming. She was very nice. S he kept saying "You don't have to make him perfect" but I kept nit picking LOL. He's FAT, which she was surprised. Even after the haircut when I mentioned he was a bit pudgy she said "really?". She fed him beggin strips during the whole groom. Hmmm, wonder how THAT happened. Such a nice lady, she was fostering his brother too, a Lhasa Poodle mix. He was such a sweetie. I wish I could have taken them both home! I had a blast and got to do what I wanted for a change. Well, almost, I took him shorter than I would have liked because his prospective foster mom is 80 years old and I didn't think a lot of coat would be prudent. Foster mom kept running her hands through his coat telling me she couldn't believe how his coat felt. It was just a fun night. I also shaved her cats butt for her too LOL. I just like knowing I helped. So enjoy, the pics didn't come out great, for some reason they kept coming out a bit fuzzy. I forgot to take a before pic until I had started some clipper work. Oh well. Enjoy! I can only do 5 pics at a time, so I'll add another after or two when I can

I WISH my poodle Sully had half of nice of a coat!
I REALLY hope someone adopts and loves this dog as much as he deserves. I told hubby from now on, when we adopt it's gonna be the older dogs. I wish more people realized how much they have to offer. His buddy the Lhasa poo was named Teddy, so I did Teddy and Bear LOL. But Teddy had surgery on Friday and couldn't get a bath. I normally won't work on a dirty coat, but under these circumstances I made an exception. Also used some of my cheaper shears. But I just couldn't leave him how he was. She told me he came me notes that he was very bad at the groomer for feet and face, but besides a bit of licking and a tiny atempt at a nibblw when shaving matts out of his pads, he was a dream. Both of these dogs came from Michigan and from the same family, have no idea why they were given up. Before I left my husband gave me very strict instructions "Don't bring him home with you!" LOLWhat a caterpillar considers the end of his world, we call a butterfly.
