  • How do you tell hubby?

I brought home some of my top performance Fresh Pet to bath my own dogs. I forgot and left it by the bath tub. Hubby goes in to take his bath and guess what He used the dog shampoo. He came out and asks if I had gotten some new shampoo cause it smells really good. I didn't have the guts to tell him what he had used. I guess he didn't notice him and his favorite recliner buddy(our beagle) smelled the same. I thought this was rather funny cause he is so picky about things like that. I will just leave it there and when it's gone it's gone.

Heh, I use Plum Silky on myself all the time. High quality stuff and my coat has never been shinier. My husband really likes Quadraped's Milk Protein shampoo. He hasn't had any dandruff issues since he started using it 2 years ago.

It could be worse. Bout 28 years ago, my future DH had a nasty cold. In my attempt to impress him with my caretaking abilities, I got him some aspirin, a cold washcloth for his fevered brow, and stuck a thermometer under his tongue....a rectal thermometer (Cut me some slack, I was 15 years old at the time). Yeah, yeah, it was clean and sterilized, but to this day I haven't been able to confess to the crime. I figure what he doesnt know wont hurt him. (If he happens to read this thread and you don't hear from me for awhile, you'll know why...)

BTW, y'all know how to tell the difference between an oral and a rectal thermometer?

        Hey, if it Works!

I've used Bark to Basics De Mat for myself and my daughter on our long straight hair. Works great in spray bottle! I was buying No More Tangles at almost $4.00 for a 12 oz bottle and this works soooo much better and is alot cheaper in the long run.

              PF- that is hilarious!

a few years ago i gave my friend a dog shampoo as a joke(i didn't expect her to actually use it..i guess she didn't read the bottle?) she actually used it and ranted and raved on how nice her hair is! Her reaction when she found out it was dog shampoo- she went and bought more!

LOL. Well I guess if you think about it and the MFG of these products are using good practices they are not testing these products on animals, but rather on humans. Its probably safer and a better product anyway since most of our shampoos are all natural.

LOL..the good thing is dog shampoos are ph balanced for dogs, who have a lower ph than humans, so dog shampoo won't hurt/dry out/etc us to use - just don't go the other way and use human shampoo on dogs Lower ph to higher ph ok, higher ph on a lower ph critter not ok.

                  This cracked me up though

My husband personally likes using les pooches as a body wash, and then we use the degreaser for our hand wash. The thing us groomers have in common....

Hehehe,, too funny. I have been using bio-grooms dry bath on my hair this winter. Normally in the summer I wash my hair every day, in the winter every other day,, but it's been so cold and dry that washing my hair makes it frizzy, so now I use the dry bath on the 3rd day. 3 days is all I can stand,,, so today I have frizzy hair again,,,lmao

PF?? I would take that secret to the grave with me!!!!!! He never needs to know.

Well, it is what it is

I've tried a lot of shampoos on myself. Tropiclean, Ikaria, Why Bitch, Espree... right now I'm hooked on Espree's Plum Perfect! Usually when I say that, I get the "You're from Mars!" blank stare. All I do is come back with don't knock it until you try it, you might be pleasantly surprised!

I keep a gallon of Les Pooch Creme Rinse in my laundry room and use it when my hair feels especially dry!

I never tell my hubby stuff like that, fortunate for me mine is as blind as a bat without his glasses on. One day we were out of facial cleanser, so I handed hom a bottle of tropicleans spa facial cleanser. He loved it. didn't tell him until we ran out of the 2nd bottle that I couldn't get more until I went to a trade show.
