  • OMG...... Big Bad Wolf!!

That is one awesome creature! Hard to believe, but no wonder there are so many fables about them.....

"This Wolf was shot recently in Drayton Valley, Alberta....which is near
Edmonton about 3 hours North of Calgary. The wolf weighs over 230lbs
smashing the previous record of 175lbs. Wouldn't want to run into this
    puppy in the woods."

Why was he shot? Such a waste if not to protect home and hearth.

How terribly sad that they ended the life of such an amazing creature. I do understand that there might have been a circumstance where it was attacking people or live stock and therefore it was necessary..but still sad. How neat to get to see a picture of it, though.

What a shame that such a magnificent creature can now only be admired in death. What possible purpose, other than self-aggrandizement and testicular-driven machismo, does hunting an animal for display purposes serve? Last I heard, wolf meat was not considered a delicacy...

          An utter waste imo.

What a huge boy, what a loss for the earth such a wonderful creature. I understand that sometime these things are needed but it will always make me sad.

That is a beautiful animal. But... I would probably poop my pants if I ever ran into him in the woods.

I hope they had a good reason for shooting him

What a beautiful animal. Horrible and shameful they killed him. If you don't want to run into him in the woods don't go into the woods. Stay home.

I have no idea why it was killed. Just that it's the biggest canine I have ever seen! Maybe it was too near civilization to be safe. It looks to be a pretty fearsome creature, wouldn't want to run across it's path in the woods.

Sad that a wolf can thrive in his environment to become that large , only to be brought down by a man and a gun. Hope it was not just for sport hunting!!!!
