On Thursday the local Animal Control called and said they had a Scottish Terrier surrendered by the owner. The owner is actually an officer with the city (I'm not quite sure, but I think he is a police officer). His wife recently had a baby and between the baby and a toddler she wasn't able to handle the dog. The little dog is barely a year old.
I thought about it, but then thought I would get busted for already having 4 dogs. So the next day one of the Animal Control officers came by my work (they are generally there once or twice a week). We started talking about the little dog and she asked if I was interested. I kind of hinted that I might already be at the town's limit. She told me that she didn't care because she knew that I took care of my dogs.
So they brought her by my work and all the other dogs get along, so I took her home. After trying out a couple names I have settled on Rosie. She is all Scotty and she is so very sweet. I am babysitting a neighbor's dog and Rosie has taken a dislike to her. I can hear her jaws snap from across the room.
I am so excited. So that means I have 3 Cairns, 1 Scotty and 1 Pippin (poodle).
