  • Want to know how my luck is LOL

I was grooming my last dog on Saturday. I had my Corded clippers and my speed feed sitting on the table next to my grooming table, when all of a sudden, there was a big flash. I was just standing there shocked and wondering what happened. The groomer next to me said something arched. I look down on the floor, and my speed feed clippers was stuck into the cord of my Andis clippers and the smell was bad. My husband looked at my cord, said it was fine and taped it up. But my blade on my cordless was a mess LOL So I have to get a new blade. But they both work so I dodged a bullet there LOL I was just thinking what's the chance of knocking my cordless off the table, and it landing blade down into the cord of my other clipper. Geeeezzz LOL I'm just glad no one was hurt.

Glad you are ok, and no serious damage! Some freak accident. I did that with a pair of ribbon cutting scissors years ago, but my clippers were not so lucky. Had to get a whole new cord. Funny thing was they were hardly sharp enough to cut ribbon. I have no idea to this day how they were able to puncture the cord.

A new blade, not too bad. So glad you didn't fry one or both clippers. Don't you hate it when things like that happen. It's like money down the tubes.

Glad your stuff didn't get totalled! You never know what is going to happen in this crazy job. The weirdest equipment loss I had was a big rottie x,that suddenly lifted his leg,and let go a strong, steady stream right on the on-off switch for the shop vac. It was plugged in,but not on,and sparks, smoke, burning urine fumes were pouring out the switch. I dried it out,and it still worked but the thing smelled so badly of urine had to get another one. If it had been running, I am afraid to think what might have happened to his Weenis!

Oh believe me I know I'm luck I only need to get a new blade! LOL When it first happened I thought both were history!! I'm relieved that's not true. My eyes shot to the dog on the table, thankfully I didn't give the little Shih Tzu on the table a poodle look!

Poodleluv Oh my gosh LMAO!! I bet that did stink, oh I could only imagine!!

          dogspaw, wow scary!!

Lucky you! Several years ago I had an Oster a couple of days out of warranty(of course) turned them off, set them down started scissoring when they caught on fire, dog and i went different directions,I stopped and unplugged them. Oster did send the new part free, and paid for labor. Just woke me up.

                  My crystal ball says

It was clipper gremlins. But they have moved on. I see you will be earning lots of money this year and your clients will appreciate you even more. Good fortune comes your way. This was a freak accident but brings with it (as it is so rare) much good fortune. You are now in the double clipper drop good fortune book. Blade hitting the cord of the other is a one in 100 years Phin nom in ahhh. It opens up the groomer good fortune vortex. Warning: It can not be set up ....it must happen as an accident. IF you try to duplicate the incident, bad fortune will follow.
