Blades?

What 3 or 4 blades do you use the most? A5 blade.

Pretty predictable; #30, #15, #10 and #7F

7, 5, 4 and 3. I use the skip tooth if in need to precut but always the finish blade. I use the Wahl Arco for my 9,10,15,30,40

Oh that's easy...

A #10 on my Ivac then I put on the ss combs. I keep a #7 skip tooth on a second set of clippers. When I do pads, I slip the #10 off and slip on an older fine tooth Andis blade #30. that's pretty much it. My other blades just haven't seen the light of day for ...um...well a darn long time! Of my SS combs I use the purple, blue, orange, and lavender the most. Never use the red, I just feel it's too dangerous. The green almost never, and the lt. blue occasionally.

But I have a mess of #10 blades, and my son does sharpening, so I guess I'm pretty well set.

I sported my ex-DIL enough blades to get her started again, and some other odds and ends until she can get her equipmernt built back up. She's going to try out for a position next week.

I use the 40, 10, 7f and 4f and like Pam I mostly use the ss combs these days with a 10 blade. My most used combs are the dark purple (for short but not too short, terriers and spaniels when owners want a more handstripped look but dont want to pay for it) the tan (or orange), the yellow, and the light purple. The bigger two as well but not as often.

I use my 10 and my 40 the most I do mostly guard cuts and scissors finishes for short hair cuts. I do use 5 and 4 more often than my 7 blade I don't own a 3.I also use the skip toothed blades for roughing in also for terrier trims

I use my 4F alot, but I also use do a lot of "skimming" with my SF using the attachment combs. What a great invention!!

i have a quick question though what do you use the 15 for? those of you that said they do. i have a few of these and i don't think i have ever used them. i got them in package deals off ebay. i always grab my 10 or 30, what is the difference between a 10 and 15 besides a touch shorter? can they be used the same? thanks

Top 3 are...

7, 10 and 5F Close runner up blades are 9, 7F and 3

Also use speed feed for all of my 30 or 15 and I use the 9 for my guards.
