  • Clipper for feet

what is the best cheaper (up to 30-50 dollars) clipper for shaving out the pads? i just want one that would work as i like to keep my dogs feet shaved out and we are going to give him a bath at a self serve dog wash and for 2 dollars more you can use their supplies..but i dont know if they have clippers to shave feet out with? i looked on petedge...but im not sure which one would work? i looked at the pocket pro one.
    any ideas?
    thanks guys

If you are just doing the bottom of the feet scissors work best. I don't really use clippers on feet except poodle clean feet.
If your dog is fat, you are not getting enough exercise!

For just one dog the pocket pro might do fine, from what I understand the thing eats batteries for breakfast!

The Wahl tid-bit or Peanut might work well for you, it's a smal corded trimmer, you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply and save some shipping and min. order charges.

I just bought an Oster MiniMax myself.

the little poodle blade it work great for scooping out the pads, mine is a 5/8" its great and gets right in there as the blade isnt as wide as a regular one.Its also good for cleaning out the hairs between the toes on dogs that require clean feet.It goes right under some of the stubborn mats in between the pads as well.

            Tid-bit!!!

Oh you will LOVE the Wahl tid-bit...It has been a lifesaver! I would be lost with out it - it has become my new best friend. I think I got mine from Groomers.com, but can't remember for sure. I know petedge has them too. It's the tiny little red clipper full of power...So long 5/8 blade on big clippers...hello tid-bit! I shave pretty much every dog's pads, I nicked a couple pads before with scissors (a long time ago - but haven't forgotten). So for me, I just feel safer with the clipper and it really zips thru that thick hair fast. My only complaint is the cord is too short, but otherwise it gets rave reviews from me!!!!

Like the others have said I love my tid bit. I'd be lost without it now.

Ditto on the Tid Bit. It's great for scooping out pads, doing poodle feet on toy poodles, tipping ears and doing face work on puppies. It comes with snap on combs, and it's really quiet, so you can do those little puppy faces without scaring the beejeebees out of them.
