  • Peroxide and tear stains

I remember reading before that it is actually bad to use peroxide for tear stains on dogs. I can't find it now though. What was it? Does it set the stain in more?
I had a customer ask me about it, yesterday and I said well I heard it's bad, but don't remember why, so I looked stupid...

It is dangerous around eyes and drying to hair. That is why its dangerous to use, but many of us do it on select dogs. I only do it on show dogs......and with great care!

What Parti said . . . also, in order to remove the stain, you need to open the cuticle of the hair and once you have done that, the stain comes back even faster than it went away (seems like it, anyway . . . )
