  • New Years Resolutions???

Did any of you make or plan to make any hardcore or truly life altering resolutions? I did! I have a situation that needs to be resolved and this is what I came up with...

Tat's New Years Resolution #1- Get rid of those so called friends who bring nothing but gloom, despair and agony on me. If your world revolves around being a judgemental, holier than thou individual, please move on. There is no room for negativity in Karenland and it will not be tolerated or allowed. If you havent anything nice to say about me or my family, call someone else not me. I am not interested in your opinions about how MY life should be lived, my business run or anything else along those lines. Do not judge my parenting skills or my child until you take a good long hard look at your own. 2010 is a brand new year and I have a brand new life with I plan to fill with things that make me happy, whether its taking a day off per week to go to an art class or merely to play with my SIX dogs. I will do it and be happy. Can you say the same? No you cant.

Of course the usual resolutions of diet, exercise and quitting smoking go along with it, but like it says resolution #1. May we all have a happier, prosperous New Year

Lose 15 lbs and get back on the exercise program.

I have been a serious slacker on my exercise for the past couple of months and I can really tell it in the way my jeans are fitting- Not in a good way... So its back on the exercise bike and Weight Watchers for me on Jan 1!

        Good for you Tat

My New Year goals: I'm not going to say any weight loss since I never follow through on that part.
I have one chapter of my life ending and would like to start a new, happier, healthier life either here in WA or in another state if that so happens.
To put myself first (or second at least).

I can't think of anything else....

I am going to stop using my credit cards. Cash only, darn it. Gotta make a dent in this debt so I can have a baby!

Tat--I have a few friends with that SAME resolution for themselves..myself included.
I do so hope that everyone finds others to help lift up the corners of our mouths (in smiles) and our spirits in 2010 and beyond!!

I am with Siberian, get a dent in the credit card debt, I have not really used them in a year. I am going to make a bigger effort to get organized and make bigger payments on them.

My resolution is to think more positively. No matter what I have been through in life it always gets better....always. I want to appreciate what I have and not dwell on what I don't. I really think that attitude is contagious and I want people to catch it from me Oh, and the good ole "get less fat" resolution that I always fail at! One of these year! One of these years! LOL

#1 Be more leiniant(sp?) on my kids, and family No one is perfect quit trying to be. Relax and don't "micromanage my family.

#2 Be happier with what I have, it is more than most could hope for.

#3 Have more fun, let loose, relax......

These are all starting to sound close to the same, see a pattern, and where I need improvement.

Yes I could loose weight (5'0 and about 170) but I think I'll be happier if I quit trying to control everyone around me. I have had this issue for as long as I remember. I have been working on it as late, but it is my resolution to put more into it.

                    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

after turning 50 this year and having both my husband and myself suffer life threatening illnesses in 2009, my resolution is to simply make sure to take the time every day to enjoy the small pleasures that abound in each day. It's so easy to put yourself last and to get lost in the daily grind of life.

                            resolutions

Good for you! Stopping and taking stock of how we are living, associating with, etc.. takes a lot of courage & i heard that when you clean out the clutter, you allow for the good to come in. How true it is. I am in school to be a vet, home-based groomer on thurs & fri & single mom. (not necessarily in that order). I don't drink, don't smoke, don't drink coffee, but suck down the diet soda's!!!!!! Not just ready to give them up yet. I think I will continue to try to be a mom my 4 yr old son deserves! p.s. i also LOVE my chocolate !!
