    My new Netbook!

This is the tiniest little computer I've ever seen! It's about 1 lb. it's a Dell Inspiron mini. My husband got it reallllly cheap for signing up for Qwest Internet service. I knew I was getting it, but I thought it wasn't going to come until after Christmas. That liar husband of mine had it hiding under the couch all wrapped up!!

We also got tickets to the Michael Buble' concert in March. I got him a Canon digital camera, though he researched it and picked it out.

From other family members I got 2 sets of PJ's---both are red with black and white scotties! One set is flannel with pants and shirt, the other, from my mom, is a long sleeved t-shirt like nighty. Sooo cute! Lots of other odds and ends, like scrapbooking stuff, etc. (I'm including gifts from clients, etc...)

I must have been good this year. Still haven't gone to my in-laws yet!

What did you all get? YOU TOO ADMIN!!!! What did santa bring you?

You made out quite nicely Tammy. You must have avoided the naughty list. Did you ever get hubby out of bed, or could you not take it anymore and start opening up gifts w/out him. I finally went ahead over to the shop to care for the boarding dogs and the kids got up while I was gone. Talk about being tortured! They had to wait for about 30 minutes while I worked.....lol......I did tell Todd that they could do their stockings while they waited for me so that helped a little.

For my Christmas I got (myself) two pairs of boots this past Tuesday. One pair are snuggly warm snow boots bought in anticipation of our ski trip next week (the trip is our family Christmas present). I broke them in early this morning when I walked boarders in the cold rain.....uuuugggh. The other pair are really pretty high heel suede boots that I already almost broke my neck in when I wore them on Tuesday right after I got them for myself (wow what a run on sentence..lol). Don't know what I was thinking when I got them except they were sooooo pretty AND on sale!!!! I can use the money I saved to get myself some crutches....lol

I am so excited for our ski trip I could just plotz!!!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous about Michael Buble! You go and enjoy the heck out of it!!! I just went on Itunes right now and got his new album. LOL.

I got sooo humbled this year. Backstory: 2 years ago I was sued for stealing clientele (bogusly, this guy was sue happy, myself and former coworkers were lawsuits #10 and #11 in about as many years) and my husband and I were broke as a joke! We had just gotten married too. (I found out the night of my bachelorette party. How nice of him.) Lawyer fees are huge as I'm sure you all know, and we couldn't afford any of it. My friend saved the day by stepping in and doing it pro bono. I was/am soooo grateful I swore I'd groom his dog for free the rest of her life!

Back to now...my fam opens presents Christmas Eve, and when I look under the tree, I find a gallon of Les Poochs Vitamin Enriched shampoo (my fave), their gold and silver brushes both single and double wide, and an I.O.U. for the comb that is backlisted but coming as soon as it can. From my friend and his wife. As I sit here I seriously can't believe their generosity. I am still blown away. And I promised I'd use it on their dog of course. Hehe.

I also got a grooming stool for home use, Reebok Easy Tones, $100 in Itunes (YES!), the Twilight books, every Mitch Albom book, an end table/lamp set from my mom, and my husband took yesterday off and cooked and cleaned ALL day while he sent me out for a mani/pedi and facial. Christmas is soooo my favorite time of year.

SheilaB, I would have tortured them too, I enjoy that kind of thing (evil laugh). J/K. Poor things. The boots sound lovely! No rain here---just snow and 10 degree weather. BRRRR...it was a cold drive home from my in-laws until the heater warmed up! Enjoy the ski trip, I love skiing but the old body wont hold up to it anymore!

OTBOD----HOLY SMOKES, you were sued? I am so glad your friend represented you pro-bono, that is amazing. I can't even believe that someone did that!

It sounds like you had an awesome Christmas, your hubby sounds like a GEM and a half! I hope the friends paid OUR price and not the "retail" price for that Les Poochs stuff. It ain't cheap!!!

I went to my in-laws and got 2 pair of pants, 2 sweaters, a skirt, 2 pie plates, LOL, yes pie plates, pink pepto-bismol looking PJ's (LOL), and some lotion and shower gel. I need the lotion with the dry weather here. It was a fun and wonderful Christmas!

Most of all, though, I appreciate my in-laws, they are the most kind, patient, and loving people you've ever met. The whole family helps each other and does all kinds of things for each other and they are good examples to me of what family love is all about. I hope they rub off on me. My husband is the most unselfish person on the planet, he is so thoughtful! I am very blessed.

LOL, it should...but my standard poodle's name is Brink. My husband and I joked that if he were AKC registered his full name would be On the Brink of Disaster because he's all legs and a total doof. Not elegant at all. My name is a tribute to him.

And yeah, I was sued, but it never went to court, the judge threw it out after nine months due to insufficient evidence. It was horrible, but karma definitely works and the guy is experiencing some really bad juju right now of his own doing so I kinda feel it's payback. It's probably petty of me, but it's hard not to feel a little "So THERE!" when I think about it.

                  Moonipie:

It is a neat little computer, but ...it is very small. It is great for traveling around with, as it is so light, but everything is smaller (with the exception of the keyboard which is normal sized). For some people, this would not work.

Just something to think about. I am not spending as much time on the net so it's working for me. I will use it for scheduling home grooming later on. Don't buy it just because it's cute---and it IS way cute!---if it wont work for you, you'll be sorry you bought it.

Mine is black, it cost $40 more to get it in pink or white or some other color. Not gonna happen.

I asked for a warm, snuggly, soft, comfy robe and boy did I ever get it! Sitting in it right now actually. The kids keep telling me to take it off so they can have it! LOL. I asked for a new end table and got two. HUbby didn't realize there were two in the box. I got the Harry potter DVD even though hubby swore he'd never buy it for me LOL. I got my 4 slice toaster I asked for. Now I can make 4 pieces of toast at once and not have the first two ice cold by the time the next two are ready! I asked for new bed sheets and got two sets. Last time I bought sheets hubby INSISTED that 180 thread count was fine. Though I didn't think he was right I went ahead and bought them and they are like sleeping on sand paper. So now I have one set of 400 count and one set of 800 count sheets. I am looking forward to washing those and getting them on the bed! I got a new pair of jeans that actually fit. Since I dropped some weight very few of my clothes fit properly anymore. The kids painted me some plaster figurines and I got new dish towels and new oven mitts! YAY. I asked for those too. May seem boring to some, but it's everything I asked for! Now I want to go out and buy some of those warm chenille socks to wear with my robe. OH and I got some warm comfy PJ's as well, which I also asked for.
Hubby was upset I didn't ask for anything "fun", but I was happy with what I got!

Brink, I think everyone should have a lawyer friend in the family although I personally would do better w/a good doctor friend....lol....your friend sounds like a sweetheart! What a lovely Christmas present you got from them. Maybe they got you those nice brushes and shampoos because they are planning on getting a herd of Bouviers or OES's......all for you to groom weekly.....comp! (haha just kidding!)

Tammy, do the net books have any hard storage space or are they mostly just for internet cruising? Can you use disks or those handy little USB storage stick thingees (I'm very computer literate.....can you tell...lol).

What program are you planning on using when you start your home grooming enterprise? Do you already have a program that you use? I forget the name of the program that I was using a few years ago, but we quit because it was more a pain than anything. It was like I was doing the work twice.....once on hard copy and then transferring it to the computer.
