  • Not too many places in the country you can see this

Just driving along yesterday, look up in the sky (I know...keep your eyes on the road lol!), and there are the Blue Angels in formation...such a pretty sight! I really DO love the area I live in!

You would be correct in your assumption! I am in Lillian, Al, but frequently am in P'Cola.
I also used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, not far from Homestead AFB...they spend alot of time down there, too. (at least they used to) I've been in this area since 95'. Where are you located?

Ahhh, the sound of jet engines at all hours. I live literally, at the end of Eielson AFB's 3 mile airstrip here in AK. They have a full contingent of F-16's, as well as refuelers. So I see the dang things (f-16's) in formation on almost a daily basis. They do a huge airshow in the summer, and I think the blue angels have flown over the house many times. Can't say I enjoy it at all though. And if the planes are flying, I am in the house with the windows and doors closed. HATE the noise.

          It sounds nice to me

I was recently at the dog shows in Yuma. The fairground was right next to a military? airfield. Much of the day assorted flying over our heads. Most of the dogs got used to it. It was nice to see for me.

I haven't seen the Blue Angels in so many years. They were always so impressive. There is some other group that usually does those kind of maneuvers here in the West.
Money will buy you a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of it's tail.
