  • My shop name?!?

Okay, so I have been struggling to find a suitable name for months now. I will not be opening until April, but I would really like to get my business cards going and start advertising my new name asap. I want something 100% unique classy and art related. I do have one name I really like, but no one else seems to :/ "The Fur Canvas" or just "Fur Canvas" ...what do you all think? Tell me why you like/dislike it pleaseee. I do not need to advertise heavy so I am not so worried about the name initially appearing as a grooming salon per se. If you have any other ideas SPILL it! lol I need help with this O.o

I like both, but I don't know totally. I know this is stupid, because it is not referencing sculpture, but I get a weird feeling from the name. What about a play on an artists name like pupcasso, Mutisse or Da Vinchi dog? Maybe the Fur impressionist, the Impressionistic Canine or Canine Impressions? I am probably totally too name sensitive though

              I agree with scullysmom

Fur canvas doesn't do it for me. I picture a painting on canvas full of fur. If you want to stick with artist related theme, hers are better. I love the name transFURmations. It is one of my favs, and wish I had thought of it. Or even "Little Shop On Wheels". as I am mobile.

Good ideas there My moms dog is named DaVinci I have been thinking about a Artist name, but haven't found a good one yet. Has to be a name everyone knows. I do like Pupcasso, but then again it sounds a bit cheesy. Keep the Artist name plays comin! My friend said I should do "Alexis Pauline's Fur Canvas." if I want high end. Not sure I like that though.

Let's do this. After this thread dies down I'll pick my top three and do a new Voting thread to see which gets the most votes! I really really would like "canvas" to be in the name somehow. To me a blank canvas symbolizes the artistic nature of our career more than anything. Don't forget that I will have graphics along with my name. I have an Artist standing sketching a poodle onto a canvas, but instead of a a pencil she is holding scissors and the poodle is slightly coming out of the canvas into third dimension.

Fur Canvas sounds kind of cold. It doesn't really bring to mind warm fuzzy grooming feelings. It sounds more like wet paint left in a room full of Newfie hair with a HV going full blast. I liked the Pupcasso one. How about the Cubist Canine? Vincent Dog-go? The Pet Style Gallery? The Pastel Puppy Palette? Or just Puppy Palette? Shades of Dog? Dali's Doggies? Canine Impressions? Good luck in your search. When you find the right one, it'll sing to you.

I always liked "Fur Art" , but if you say the name too fast...

Of course I do like long fancy names (hence my mouthful of a name) so how about
                        "Artistry in Fur"?

Fur canvas reminds me of Taxidermy, nothing Pet grooming.
