Let me start out saying how much i enjoy this forum. My personal life apart from my business has crashed on me. This caused me to loose touch with things that i enjoy in life. I have been gone from here for many months and all tho many times i wanted to peak in i just didn't have the spirit to. I have been having severe marital problems. This has led to depression and a lack of doing things that i enjoy. I am going to make a point to start living again as a new resolution. Thanks for listening. I think of this place as a comfort zone for me. stacie

Welcome back
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Depression is not an easy thing to overcome. Been there, done that. Good for you for recognizing the depression and working to get through it. << Hugs >>Last edited by Cat Crazy; 12-15-09, 03:07 PM."The more that you read, the more things you will know. Good for you ! You already have taken the first steps to get your life back on track. Stay positive and stay focused on YOU. Walk tall and proud and visualize your life as happy and full of love and it will come. Plus get in a few doggie kisses...LOL I'm proud of you ! Keep up the great work..

I understand completely. As much as I love this forum, when I've been struggling with grief/depression/anxitey the last thing I wanted to do was even turn on the computer. Even grooming itlsef didn't bring me the joy it normally does. sorry you are having such a hard time, I know for me I tend to withdraw and then have to almost force myself to get involved in things again. Go at your own pace, we're always here and if you need to take time for yourself, we'll be here when you can get back. And if you need us WHILE you're dealing with ****, we'll be here for that too! What a caterpillar considers the end of his world, we call a butterfly.

Stacie, I had noticed you were not here.
I know the kind of toll marital strife can take on a person, and stress does so much damage to us. Try to keep your head up, and if you ever need to talk or anything, we are here for you!
I'm glad to see you back here. I know it's one day at a time. The heart and soul are truly fragile. I hope you have a nice holiday in spite of what you are going through.
Take care.

Welcome back Stacie! Getting on with your life is a good thing =) Let us know if we can help in anyway. I've heard I'm a good listener ;-)"No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin

I've sure missed you
and your knowledge too. Glad you stopped back in. Part of the help will be that you decided to get back on track. When things go wrong it can be so hard, but the longer you stay with the wrong things the longer you can be stuck. There is a time for sadness and only you know how long that must be, but then only you can know when to get over that hurdle. I remember an old saying, Fake it till you make it. I'm not at all for phony or pretending but sometimes getting out there and acting like things are going better can begin to change things around for you.Money will buy you a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of it's tail.

I know what you're going thru, I did when I was a lot younger. I just realized one day when I looked in the mirror that I didn't know who the person was staring back at me, I was pale, dark circles under my eyes, way too thin, no spirit, etc. I had stopped doing everything that I enjoyed which is being in the outdoors and working with animals. A good snuggle with your dog or cat is really good therapy, so are nice long walks with him/her. Remember this is just a small mountain that you will climb over and you will become stronger. One idiots loss is another's treasure so go out there and just be you, don't let one person in this world make you feel unworthy. And, you're right, this is a great forum, LOTS of nice people. Go do something that makes you happy and I'll bet you'll get hooked on happiness again, I did.
