nice client made my day

yesterday i bathed a med lab mix,i did her once before a long time ago,when owner drops off dog she said she got a prescribed shampoo,and dogs hair grew back,dog has allergies,she said the vet even commented on how good her ears look since labs are prone to infections,well i didnt think anything of it,she gave dog to the bather,and when i cleaned her ears one was really yucky,looked like yeast it was all yellow inside and smelled bad,and i thought to myself i hope she doesnt think it was us,since she just said vet was amazed dogs ears were so clean,but the ear,was all purple and thick too,so owner comes i showed her the ear,and she asked do you think i should put some noe sporine in there,i said no,take her to the vet,well this morning she walks in and my heart sank,i thought to myself oh no,now what,she said she just wanted to thank me,she just took dog to the vet,and it was an ear infection,and she told vet i stopped her from putting noesporine in the ear,and he said well youve got yourself a good groomer i think shes a keeper,it was really nice of her to even stop by,just wanted to share,it made my day

There are so many days that we feel let down, people complaining, etc., it's so nice to get compliments like that! And from the vet too!

How nice

People like that make our job worth doing! I also had a nice customer comment today, a lady with 2 Cavaliers I had never done before. She was worried because the last groomer she took them to scissored all the hair off of their feet and trimmed their feathers down, after telling her they knew how to do the breed! Anyhow, she came to pick them up, and when I brought them out, she couldn't stop saying how beautiful they were, and that she was very pleased. She made their next appointment so now they'll be one of my regulars. It does make you feel good! :-)

It is so great to read good client stories, thanks for sharing. Sometimes it seems like all we post are the "bad client" stories. I know the need to vent among peers who understand is strong and it feels good to get it off of our chest but, it is still refreshing to hear an uplifitng one too. I had great customers yesterday as well! A new Bishon (thanks for referral Patty!) who was wonderful, a Powderpuff Chi Cr who was new, and a hound labx that was also new. All of these clients were so nice and combined w/my nice regulars it made for a great day!!

yes the compliements are very nice. Especially from the vet! maybe you should go see him and introduce yourself? He could send you lots of business!! I have 3 vets that send dogs to me...one of them I can't stand at all, but I'm glad he doesn't know that! lol
