Today was the opening day of the show and it was fantastic. I loved every minute of it. The vendors were out in force with all the new tools and products at really great prices. I got so many things that i had put off buying because of the price, and I found all of them and then some. I stopped and watched the grooming competitions for a while and those guys were fierce. I think I saw almost every breed out there all groomed to perfection. I think I was more excited to get all the free samples than the rest, just because I'm so cheap. I've fallen in love with some new tools I was able to get and was first in line to let the vendors know about products and tools that were a disappointment. Most of them were very ready to solve any problems or offer a solution and did!!! There is so much to see that we( a group of my salon staff) are going back in the morning. I think I may need to lock my credit cards and checkbook up until the show is over!!!!!!!!!

I'm beyond jealous here!!!! I wanted to go really bad and tried to make the arrangements early on, but it just didn't work out....Such is life and I'll get over pouting soon.I did get my double k challengair dryer today that I won off ebay, I am so impressed that it was in such good condition. So I am hap, hap, happy!
Just love new stuff, even though it's used, it's still new to me.

No air sweep nozzle...Bummer! At least I won't know what I'm missing. It only came with the cone (whatever the technical name is for it?) and a crate attachment. It's a really nice dryer, I'm so impressed. I think it was a good investment - I was nervous purchasing it. It's my first Double K dryer, glad to see ya'll love yours. It makes me feel much better.

1st time to Atlanta
Had a grrreat time!
Learned lots.
Spent some.
The best part of all was I made some new friends!!
I wasn't going to go, but the Monday before a groomer from another grooming board (whom I didn't even know) said "Go with us !! It will be fun!!" So I did & it was.

I was there!
I spent waaaaaaaay too much, my hubby actually said, lets go you spent enough, but in a good way. but i had a problem getting there. did anyone else have this problem? I never saw the name of an actual venue on the web site. There was only an address, which I got directions for. I was so impressed as we got to the last turn or two at how smooth this ride was goin. Then I got to the address and it was a MOBILE GROOMER place. looked like a house with two or more mobiles in the back. I was like huh? so I calmed down and went to have breakfast with my husband and made some phone calls to find someone home with a computer to double check the address again. I always reverse numbers, cant tell ya how many times I called people to say"hi this is dawn from paws n claws calling to let ya know Fluffy is ready' and theyre like huh? anyway, the address was correct, but there was a phone number. I called and it was the hotel. How weird is that? of course we got there. and duh! lightbulb moment, wouldnt ya know the atlanta pet fair was actually in Atlanta? who knew? lol what was that address all about? am i the only one????
