  • De-skunk

I seem to have problems posting replies to previos threads, so here is what the shelter I worked for used for skunk sprays. And it works. No smell what-so-ever left after the bath, even before the dog is dry.
    Powdered Massengal douche!
You mix three packets per gallon of water.
    Pour on dry coat
    Rinse
    Shampoo
    Rinse

I've tried that before, and didn't find that it works any better than the peroxide/baking soda/dish soap mixture. Actually, I don't think it worked as well. And it costs more.

I'm just going to avoid this one all together, lol.

        Whew

Helly, I was actually wondering about that myself when I read your reply on the other post. So that's probably what is in the douche then. I will definately try the baking soda and peroxide and dish soap. That's a lot less embarrassing to use, at least you dont have to hide it...lol..
Thankfully I haven't had a dog that's been sprayed yet, as a groomer.
