I recently saw an ad in Groomer to Groomer (I think) for the Spa Lavish products. One product "Fresh Facial Scrub" says it "removes 85% of tear stains." ??? So I emailed the company to see if I could get a sample. They said they don't have samples. A 6 oz bottle is $4.99. Has anyone tried this? A "facial scrub" for dogs just intrigued me.

This is so funny...Cuz I just saw the ad myself and emailed them last night. Great minds think alike! I haven't tried it, but I'm anxious too. I love the idea of a spa line - so I was instantly intrigued. If you try it before me, let me know what you think.

I saw it too and was hoping I could find some when I go to Intergroom. I am not buying anything right now, just waiting to stock up. I think I am going to need a shopping cart when I go there lol

we have just started offering this spa line at the salon i work at. i tried using the fresh facial scrub on my mini poodle. it smells great & is tearless, but honestly i noticed little, if any difference in her tear staining. my boss spoke with someone from the company, they said that the facial scrub needs to be used daily for a week for severe cases and then, (I THINK), weekly. and also that clipping the area first, if possible will help. BUT, don't you think, if you used ANY sort of product (tearless), DAILY that tear stains would diminish or disappear? i wasn't too impressed, but it is tearless and smells good.

the shampoos and conditioners all smell DELICIOUS and i really love the way the conditioner worked on my poodle! i used the paw treatment on her as well & she enjoyed the extra attention if anything!

I am switching over to this line on March 1st. I LOVE the smell of all the products and I do think they work well. As far as the tear stains go, I'm not so sure it removes 85% right away. I think it does help though. It leaves a nice refreshing scent.

I use this spa lavish for a quick replacement of our original Blueberry facial, beside smelling wonderful and the dogs seem to like the smell too, I notice nothing diffferent in the face brightness or otherwise ...now my other blueberry facial company it take them forever to ship...usually a couple of weeks at the least, now this stuff you can see a difference it has made, our facial is one of the most popular spa treatment in the shop!!

i don't think it states that the facial is tearless, it just states it will not sting the eyes, is this the same?

We use this facial as well as another blueberry facial line. I like the Spa Lavish by tropiclean becuase you don't have the possibility of staining. My other line can stain white dogs. There is also a thrid company, that uses blue coloring and blueberry scent but NO blueberries.

The true reason for a blueberry facial is:
Staining is cause by oxidization and blueberries are a natural souce of anti-oxidants.

Whether using Spa Lavish , tear less or anything else you should STILL use eye protectant. A dogs cornea is very sensitive and what doesn't bother one dog can bother another, it isn't worth the chance.

I just got the sample pack for $39.00 and it is a lot of stuff for the price. It all smells wonderful! I can't wait to use it. I will let you know what I think. Based on the smell alone, I would switch my whole line over to this. Let's see if it cleans well.
What does a dog do on it's day off?
