  • What kind of terrier is this?

I found this from intergrooms competition site from last year and I really just can't identify what it is cause I never saw a head done like that on a shorter terrier.

Sorry I couldn't get the manage attachments button to work.

I kept hitting manage attachments to upload the picture and my thread posted without it and then I couldn't even get into the board last night.

He looks like a lakeland to me. My boss had one, he was a very sweet dog but kind of nutty, and that was WITH doggy prozac.

Yep, it's a Lakeland. The Welsh and Irish both have short faces for show, but the Lakeland has the puffy looking face. I must have done that cut about a hundred times. I love those dogs.

                    Lakeland Terrier

Bill Cosby, comedian ,and Jean Heath do or did show them. She is the breeder hard worker, he the money to go forward. I almost bought a pup from her, but decided to stick with Min Schnauzers,as temperment is different. Small, cute. Look best hand-stripped however, lotta work.Jean Heath lives in N> California Bay Area.Had dog @ Westminster...thnbk it was W/Mcfadden, tge handler. Dandy Dinmont. WQas a terrier, I know that. Just forgot which little one.My mind is going. Want to take an Alzheimers' test. I need an expensive specialist, and I do not have med. Insurance. Guess i will wait and see if I get worse. I do know older people get forgetful. Can't recall actors names right off, like when I was young. This is common, however. But, recall dog breed, good for me.

                      It is a lakeland

Rather rare breed. Welch terriers are like having a miniature Airdale,as they, look so similar only small. I have never interacted with a Lakeland. I did groom and also witness Welch terriers being born. I so wanted one, but lived in condo w/2 Sch. No more allowed! My friends Welch terriers loved dogs on tv. Watched entire "Homeward Bound "beginning to end ....favorite movie. Very intelligent, but aloof dogs. I want the affectionate type.Lakeslands and welch, very similar in all aspects.

The head piece is a little off, and the dog has a really scrawny neck, but it's a Lakeland.

Ugh, that hair thing on his chin has GOT to go!!! Then maybe he's worth considering. Hopefully this guy's not on this board while we pick him apart. He is good looking though.
