No not the kind that sit on the kitchen counter and mix things up! LOL
Just got back from Burbank, I was amazed to see the trend in finishing now. Everything is top thinned. Sue, Chris, all the instructors seemed to be working in the same direction, that of top thinning a coat rather then scissoring for a crisp look. The trend seems to be soft, and you get that by using blenders or thinners.
Point of information...
Blenders have 1 toothed blade where thinners have both blades with teeth!
Now for the neatest thing ...Arius Eikart (newly purchased by Sunbeam/Oster) has a new Blender out that is the just the neatest thing. It is the 28 tooth Blender, looks like huge blade with very open tooth, but WOW what it can to to erase clipper lines and gouges from regular shears! WOW! Chris P, used them on almost all of her demos the teeth are different than most old fashioned blenders, they have more area at the edge, almost like a regular shear rather than a notched tooth.
I used mine for the first time yesterday, OMG talk about fast , smooth out. Where have these thing been all my life!?
Pet edge has them in Blue Titanium coating, Ryan's has them in the polished regular finish. You need to check these babies out if you get a chance! You will not be sorry! Ryan's took 36 pair to Burbank, and sold every one. Show cost was just over $150, regular price is just over $250 but worth EVERY penny!
