Hey everyone I am new to Petgroomer.com! I graduated grooming school in Dec and started working at Petco and thought i would really like working for a corporate salon....but i already have some really awesome clients that i love...and i'm working hard! They just made me grooming manager so its really exciting to be recognized so early on. I'm learning a lot about running a salon which will be very handy when i open my own which i do plan on doing! Just wanted to introduce myself and get some feedback and advice!!

Hi CCDolly, welcome to the board! Congratulations on your promotion. That is quite a feather in your cap for being such a baby groomer! This is the BEST place to come if you have questions or concerns. I have been a member for almost a year and I have learned so many great things! I have been a groomer for 22 yrs and thought I knew all I needed to know till I started visitng here!
The members here are great. Don't forget to post picts of your grooms so we can praise and critique you. I think we all love "playing teacher"..lolSheilaB from SC

Hi! I'm in Hamden, and used to work at the Petco there. You'll learn a lot as you go along. One bit of advice from a groomer who worked in corporate, and private, before getting my own shop: work in as many grooming shops as you can between now and getting your own place. It's not necessary, but you learn so much at all different places. Glad to see you here, you do learn so much! Plus there's not many groomers from this area on here....at least not ones that post much. What school did you go to???Erin
