  • Population : Pet Groomers

How many people are in your area and how many pet groomers?

I am going to be in a small town of 5000, no groomers in town limits (in thise town has all the grocery stores and pharmacies and the mall). In thr surroungding area (30 mins + driving time) there is a population of 30,000 and 3 dog groomers including me.
The other three are located rurally and I am on the main drag.

My town has 72,000 people and 4 grooming shops. The town is only 3 miles long but very condensed. I plan on having the 5th shop some day

The population in our teeny lil' town is around 2500 and I'm the only groomer here in town. There are numerous neighboring towns within 15-30 miles. In that distance range there are 3 shops, 3 Vet groomers and 2 mobiles and the total population for these is a little over 25,000. There still seems to be plenty of grooming to go around!

My area is about 175K with the 3 cities plus a 4th small one, then a few more small rural towns. My own city, about 49K with 6 groom shops. The whole area about 14 shops. Lots of pets to keep everyone pretty busy most of the time.
Old groomers never die, they just go at a slower clip.

            Groom on!!!

I'm in a city with a pop. of about 200k, plus there are some small towns within driving distance. Including me there are around 25 grooming establishments.

                city of millions

I'm in NYC, so just guess how many groomers there are! Then again, the amount of dogs is mind boggling. But the competition doesn't bother me -- I'm a house call groomer.

                  population

The population in the village here is 600 hundred. One groomer about 20 miles one way and another 2 or 3 about 35 miles the other way. I'm mobile and have to cover a wide area. Tourist area so busy in the summer slow in the winter.

I pull from the whole county. It's got a population of around 130,000 and there are about 11 shops. I keep quite busy.

Well, there are over 200K in my county, but we also draw from about three or four other counties, all at least 100K, so pretty large area. I couldn't even count the amount of grooming places!

In the city, there is approx 22,000 people. As far as I know, there is just me and another groomer right in the city. She is at one end of the city, I am at the other. Wait, I take that back..there is a vet groomer too..probably about 1/2 way between the 2 of us. Then there are a few other groomers outside the city.

Angie I was just looking at your website. Wow mini cows?? That's so adorable! Are they like pets or do they create milk like a regular size one? Just curious.
