  • Good Deals at Grooming Shows

Well as a groomer in training, I will be attending the Atlanta show. I am excited but would love to know what kind of good deals have you all been able to purchase at these past shows.

Thinking about these past deals will get me even more motivated to save my money up for the show!

    Hard to say

I've been at grooming shows at the right time, especially on the last day, and vendors really didn't want to load and return $2500 stainless steel tubs or $1500 electric tables and we got them for 50% off. Then again, this didn't happen at all at some shows. Usually you will find specials though on clippers, blades etc and if you are looking at big tag items, ask for a deal, it's legal.

I like to buy my shampoo at shows because I have a real problem with paying to ship water LOL!! I also like to buy brushes, clippers, blades and stuff like that---again because I don't like to pay shipping. I got my fav DuZee table at a trade show for about 1/2 off-last day just like Stephen mentioned. I got a show special HydroSurge for $495 at that same show! Dryers, tables, bows-you name it and someone will be there with a show special! Are you coming to the internet social? Hope to see you there!!

I went to groom expo 2005, and got a year's worth of shampoo for very little....can't remember the exact price, but I'm still using the last little bits for it. They had an auction at the end of the show, and some stuff got sold way past it's price, and other stuff for el cheapo. This year at Intergroom I'm going up to Edemco early the first day and doing my best to get their good stand dryer. I've been desperate for one, and am trying to hold out til April to get it.

Erin, the Edemico sales rep. gave me a deal on the last day. I had to wait till noon to pick up the dryer and got about $100.00 off the list price. I got lucky, the dryer didn't get sold to anyone else. Last day purchases are the best deals.

              Hey Erin,
I will be at the Atlanta show also. Since I am opening a shop I went to the Pet Fair website, contacted the reps from different companies that I was planning on making big purchases from (stainless steel tubs, cages, dryers and the like) and most of them are willing to bring the items I wanted to use as their display and i get to take it home after the show and dont have to pay shipping on it and in most cases I got the show discount.
Im also planning on stocking up on shampoos and blades, I might even sneek in a pair of scissors too!
