I have gotten 4 new sheltie clients this year. No breeder around I know of. Seems odd but they are sweet dogs. I have heard that some areas they have been overbred and some odd behavior shows up, but not here I guess.

Over the years, I've had several Shelties and all were very calm and pleasant to groom.............I even had one that was a Mini Sheltie....she was only about 12" from floor t shoulders and had a full coat with beautiful markings. I've never seen another mini or even heard of them.

Heck I pass over a Sheltie to groom like a cavalier. The percentages are low, for grooming favorability at my shop. And I own cavaliers. And I would consider owning a Sheltie. But for grooming ……. About as much as I like the virtuous signalling leading into pain at the pump or grocery shelves ….. In my home though, it’s still ❤️.
