  • Well, she asked for it!

I have a fairly regular customer w/2 Persians that I have groomed for several years now. Norman is usually a sweet boy, but Sylvester can be "testy"....haha They have them clipped down a few times a year and come in-between for baths. Well, they came in yesterday for their clip down and the owner explained that they had been getting treated for ring worm and that is why I hadn't seen them in a while (I had been wondering). She said when they went to the vets he told them to get the cats clipped so she could easily apply the ointment and see what is going on. She told him she would call her groomer (me) to make the appt. Well, apparently the on staff groomer heard her and told her she could do it that day. My customer explained to her that Sylvester can be hard to work w/and that her "usual" groomer is able to handle him. This groomer was insistant that she could handle him, that he looked like a "good boy"...lol...(he is a cutie). My customer finally agreed to let her groom him since they were there anyway. Well, she said the groomer called her back in a little while PISSED OFF because Sylvester bit her in the BOOB! She was not able to finish the groom. Sylvesters mom warned her how he was. I can't believe she was hateful when she was the one who insisted on grooming him even after she knew how he acted! Some groomers!!! lol
BTW I finsished Sylvesters clip yesterday w/no problems and no need of a bandaid on my boob....lol...ouch!

Ouch lol. How could she even act pissed when she knew the deal? She should have kept quiet and did her best, in order not to look like a fool. Now she looks stupid and you look great!

That's hilarious. Score for the cat! Some nerve that groomer had, and couldn't finish at a vets office? LOL

          Convenience isn't worth it sometimes...

Way to go, sheilab!!!! Sounds like that groomer got EXACTLY what she deserved. I'm with Kim, score one for kitty!!! How dare that groomer act pissed. Working with animals, particularly cats, means there's a risk of being scratched or bitten. But I believe when it happens to me, it was MY FAULT! I did something wrong. I held the cat wrong. I didn't pay attention to the warning signs. Obviously Sylvester has learned to expect a certain level of compassion and respect which that other groomer clearly was lacking. I'm glad y'all had a good groom following his ordeal. He's very lucky to have you and I'm sure his mom knows that even better now.

I used to work with a groomer that was way too rough with the cats. She got bit in the boob, too, and she had silicone implants. Boy she was so pissed off that she might have a leak from that bite. I don't celebrate other people's pain, but I sure was tickled that cat managed to let her know just how he felt. IMO, served her right.

Ouch!!!! But ya got a client for life now!! Sylvester made sure of that. hehe

The groomer had no right being pissed off either. She was warned and she didn't pay attention. Score one for Sylvester

I noticed that you said they had ringworm. I will not groom a cat or dog with ringworm. I will not risk catching it or spreading it. Too much disinfecting afterwords. Several years ago I did a yorkie and the vet didn't tell me til later it had ringworm. I ruined a very expensive 7/8 blade using the wrong disinfectant on it.

You know, even if she hadn't been warned, you don't act hateful to a client because their pet bit you. Even if it bit one of the girls. It's just not professional.

That's so funny, I laughed out loud right when I got to the BOOB part cuz I was not expecting that. That's what you call a frisky kitty.
