Get out the Betadine and then pour yourself a glass of wine, soak and sip.

          Ouch, that's no fun

I think Cockers must be one of the most maligned breeds on this board! (I'm sure there's reasons behind it too..)

I've had a couple cockers that are so sweet and then I've had some that are completely the opposite. When they're sweet, they are the best little dogs - I just love them. But when they're not, they are little devils in disguise. There doesn't seem to be an in between. Ouch!! Hard not to hold a grudge huh? Hope it heals quick and he didn't get ya too bad.

I TOTALLY am with you.... Got the **&^# bit out of me yesterday by a 16 yr old Poodle. The worst part, his canine tooth got under the back of my nail and lifted it...OWWW.

Ouch.. I know how ya feel. I've had a Cocker almost rip my finger off.. Thank goodness for gloves, worst she got was the skin and some tissue. If this posts several times I'm sorry, it wouldn't let me post it.

I'm sorry to hear that, it just makes you angry doesnt it. Several of the cockers I do have attitude, I usually keep a pair of nylon pantyhose legs,(cut off) in my drawer ,when I have a dog that seems iffy I just gently tie the muzzle, at least until I am certain of their behavior. Not as objectionable as a muzzle and strechy so works well, keeps em from being able to open enough to bite. I hope you have a better day tomorrow

You mean it wasn't that nasty pit bull or that horrible rottie that is killing everyone else. There are no otber dogs that bite.

Oh I so agree.... I thought there were only 2 or 3 breeds that bit and attacked people....

                          Breeds most likely to bite

Actually, I forget where I read it but the breed most likely to bite was the American Cocker Spaniel--the breed outranked every other breed by quite a milestone including Pits and Rotties. The breeds least likely to bite were in the hound class.
