  • Les Poochs?

Oh my goodness, I just found their site.. and the prices! Eek! Although I won't be purchasing a $1500 dog bed or a $5000 pair of shears anytime soon..

How are their shampoos and brushes? Has anyone tried their mat remover?

I have 3 of their brushes and love them. They are very different to use, and I found them difficult at first, but now I love them, especially the mat zapper. (They have more brushes than shown on their website).

As far as the shampoos I now use (along with Kelco as my everyday shampoo), the brightening shampoo and the F & T degreaser. I was so pleased with the way they work with my water. The dogs come out squeaky clean and I like the smells. I tried the ones for female and male dogs, but personally I don't like the smells. The male shampoo smells like men's cologne and the female like human perfume. They too strong for my liking, but I know some people love them. The prices on the website are not what groomers pay. Groomers pay 1/2.

I would love to meet someone that has a pair of those shears. I can't imagine that they could be $5000 worth of good. lol

I can't even use a reg. slicker brush after using their brushes, and they last a lot longer.

I love their brushes. I think the mat zapper works great. If you plan on attending a trade show or seminar you might be able to save a little if you purchase them there. I’ve never tried their shampoo.

The prices they show on the website are retail prices. If you call them up, they will give you groomer prices for shampoos.

Their brushes are wonderful. I love the mat brush.
I use their conditioner and have used their shampoos and although I really liked their whitner, I stopped using it. Maybe it was just my dog, but after I bathed him and he would get wet (rain etc) he had a really bad odor to him. Since I stopped bathing him in it, he hasn't had that smell. Weird.

I love their products. DON'T GO BY THEIR WEBSITE PRICING :-) Call Les Pooch and ask for Ariel (she is a great Sales Rep) as a professional groomer you get discount pricing. I have all of their products, they even have two NEW brushes designed for poodles and Bichons (they are Silver and Gold). I know that our cost the most expensive brush (Mat Zapper Double) is only $48. Their degreasing Shampoo, I covet. It is the all time best product on Greasy Cocker ears, Yeasty dogs, etc.

I use thier cologne and perfumes. Not the shampoo. I've tried the shampoo and loved it, but I like Natures Specialties. More cost effective. Ariel is very nice and easy to talk to. )

                      Hi

I have tried many shampoos and conditioners and I have found not only cleaning ability and feel of the coat, not to mention the amount of compliments clients give us, on how long their dog stays smelliing great, using Les Pooch.

I only used Les Pooch shampoos and conditioners but I too can not use the female or male scent shampoo it makes my lips go numb and I get a headache, but I react to a lot of different perfumes. I have been using the Dete Shampoo and conditioner with the best results and it does not bother me at all, and received the most compliments for that scent. I also use the Botanique (hypo allergenic non scented) shampoo and conditioner on dogs that have problem skin or owners allergic to perfume smells, works fantastic.

The shampoos and conditioners are all in concnetrated volume and worth every penny.

We only use Les Pooch shampoo, I love the whitener, and I love the smell too. I also LOVE the perfume (female) and would wear myself the perfume that comes out once a year at Christmas. The brushes are EXCELLENT. Don't think I've used the F&T degreaser everyone was talking about, but am sure if it's like anything else they have it's great. I've their ear cleaner too, and it's great, and smells wonderful. Oh and the medicated shampoo, wow, smells like pure heaven, lol. Expensive but have seen great results. My favorite scent is apple, and that's what it is, (yummy)! Their customer service is great, and like everyone said, their prices on the website aren't for groomers...call 'em, you won't be sorry!

I love my mat zapper, it brushes out fast, easy and even leave more hair on the dog ( you know sometimes we brush out but there are no hair left ). More money on dogs which were impossible to brush out and less time to working on dematting.

I use Les Pooch as my main, standard shampoo. I particularly like the vitamin enriched male scented. I noticed on my own dogs that it is the only shampoo i have ever tried that i could actually smell several days later...and depending on the concentration I use i can actually smell a vague, pleasant smell of it when i enter my house...which I love. I have had many clients tell me that they don't know what or how I do it, but I am the only groomer they have ever used who can make their dogs still smell good a week later. I attribute this to this shampoo. I do think the male scented has the longest lasting scent. I too, love their VIP cologne that is made once a year in the spring...Michels special collection or something like that. It smells like something a person would wear. And many clients have come to accept nothing else. I also use the brushes, if you can only get one get the mat emergency brush. This is really all you need. There is nothing like it. I also like the Pooch Brite...the brightening/whitenting shampoo. My daughter did her science experiment in school to compare four different whitening shampoos. Les Pooch was the obvious winner, believe it or not. Their shampoo does cost more, but I believe it is worth it ...especially when you want to stand out among other grooming providers.
