• Cat Painting? Real or Photoshop

I got an email that said these cats were painted it cost $15,000 and had to be re painted every 3 months as the cats hair grows out. I can only post 2 pics at a time. You be the judge. It looks very real but I don't know how they do it.

I think some of them could be done in a vet office with the cat knocked out and a really good air brush artist. Some of them really do look photo shopped. Wouldn't be really cool if they are real. But lets face it who really has that kind of money to spend on having their cat painted. LOL

yeah I read the link to the SNOPES and they are all photoshopped turns out this artist put the pics out as a coffee table book in hopes of selling books to people who liked cats and art. I think the one who looks like a coy fish is cool ~creative gooming anyone?

Well, I feel like a total dumb-ass. I thought they were real. I did wonder what they used to paint and set the pattern's and how they got the kitties to hold still. In my defense...lol..., there is so much I DON'T know about creative grooming that I never even questioned that they weren't genuine!! Just goes to show, don't believe everything you see and read! BTW, I am rather disappointed that they are fakes, it's kinda like finding out Santa is not real all over again....sigh...lol

                  Easy to explain...

                  paint by numbers!

Actually, they are cat "wraps" from Japan that come on plastic sheets and you transfer the designs by pressing the sheet down on the cat and using a hair dryer...!

But HEY! Don't feel bad. Just go to SNOPES when things don't seem kosher!

They were really beautiful, even if they weren't real. Thanks for sharing, I loved it and I'm not even a cat person.
