  • "cat painting"

Wow...just...wow. I just got an email of people who have decoratively painted their cats. Head to toe or just on the face. Weird...
I wouldn't know how to post it (it's kinda big).
    any ideas?

I would really love to see it. I know on another post they have the shrink your pictures tool.

A really good book is Why Paint Cats you can find it in Barnes & Noble in the humor section. I have a copy and it is something that I find wild. For people who creatively groom dogs it's a real eye opner!

Revwind, that is so funny. A friend of mine who is a groomer also just emailed me some photos of painted cats. I'm guessing that they must be the same photos that you are mentioning. Some are absolutely incredible. I was just going to post about this when I saw your thread. Here are two of the photos I recieved. I could post a few more if anyone would like to see more.

Mary, When you write your post, scroll down and look underneath the icons. Look under the heading additional options. Then click on manage attatchments. There is a place there to browse photos on your computer or to enter the url of photos online. I hope that this makes sense. I just figured out how to do this tonight. I'm a little computer illiterate. I went ahead and posted your photos on this post for you.

BTW,That's too cute! Is that a cat? How did the manic panic seem when dry? Did the hair seem soft and natural? How long did the color last? Does the color come off on other objects? What if it gets wet? Thank you for sharing this!

            Cool pics but....

Probably not real paintings on cats. Check out snopes.com the cat paintings they had there were computer enhanced photos for a book if I remember correctly.

Shoot I didn't see this thread and posted the kitties under general topics?

I couldn't figure out where the manage attachments button out so I copied them from photobucket in general topics. Cool though if their really painted. If I would've read your post first I would'v know where to find that darned button. Thanks for pointing it out.

That is too cool. I can't imagine any cat having the patience to have it's whole body painted though. Awesome pics!

                  why paint cats

Those are some awesome looking cats. No, they are not photo enhanced, they're real. (although the cats might have been sedated) I have written to them for more information. Ill let you know if I get a response. They use Manic Panic also. I would also like to know how the fur feels when dry... I want to experiment on my cat!! Look out Jaspur...

Man, thats one thing I really miss doing. We cant dye animals at the Petsomething I work at.

Manic Panic is good, but as a person who regularly dyes my mohawk crazy colors, I recommend Special Effects. The color tends to be more vibrant, and its vegetable based. I use it on my own animals when I cant do anything with my own hair;]
