  • Grooming Art? Flames

hey, how do you do the flames on a dog? like from the shoulder back going towards the rear? think it looks really neat, wondering how you do it.

My suggestion would be a stencil, and blo pens. If you do it, I want to see pictures.
If your dog is fat, you are not getting enough exercise!

      Photos Please!

I would love to see photos of your flames if you try it. Will you be carving this design as well as painting into the fur? I wish I had a victim to try a design on.

I would love to do some designs in dogs as well. I read on this forum where someone had advertised in the paper for dogs to practice on when she was learning to groom. She said that she didn't charge them. I am thinking that this would be a good way to get victims to practice designs on. I will probably give it a try once I'm ready.

            just wondering

How much time do they give you on a creative groom?

I just wonder cause it seems some of them would take me forever.

              creative

Love the creative but believe it or not... It is ILLEGAL in Florida! I know that is silly, but their reason has to do with people used to dye chicks and bunnies for Easter as a marketing ploy and they didn't want animals used in this fashion.

I've heard this and looked for a statute to back it up...I think there was a discussion on this on another board and it was said to be false. I really would like to know.....

I see that is says animal or fowl...shouldn't this be more specific as to what animal? I think it's silly, if you want a pink or blue dog you should be able to have one.

Paws, I agree. But my understanding is that this is why there is not creative at Fun in the Sun.

I could understand, not using it as a marketing ploy but we already Own OUR DOGS. Did you read the part about bringing them into the state? So, truthfully we can dye them at competitions and bring them home still dyed...
