  • Wahl Kennel Clip

Does anyone have these and if so, do you like them? I was looking at them at PetEdge and considering getting them. I do a lot of large breed dogs and people like them shaved down in the summer and was wondering if they will do the job. Any input would be helpful.

    Here is the address: http://www.petedge.com/product/Groom.../397/55456.uts

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you referring to? I went to Petedge and cannot find anything that is made by Wahl that says "kennel clip" anywhere. Maybe a link to it??

What about the German Red Clipper??

They now have a model that accepts the blades we are used to here in North America. Apparently the clipper is heavier than what we are used to, but goes like stink! I guess a 1.5 HP motor will do that....

Think I'll get one later this year and try it out. Meanwhile, I am enjoying my Wahl Switchblade with either Geib blades or the Competition Series blades (by Andis??).

That clipper is not made for daily use even though they say it is for professionals. It is more of a home clipper. For that much money you can get an Andis with one blade.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have the Switchblade and love it!! I've been using the Wahl competition blades and they seem to last great. Wanted a second set and thought about the German ones. I'm going to Atlanta so hopefully I can handle the Red German ones and see how they feel.

For large breed Summer shavedowns....you really should check into the wide blades, 7F's, 5F's, etc. They fit all the standard model clippers and have a way of making me smile when I use them.
I'm gonna be buried w/ mine. No time soon I hope, as they are still kinda new.
