Hi Everyone,
I am excited and overwhelmed at the same time, but I am jumping in with both feet and my eyes wide open. My stomach is in knots! My career transition is finally becoming a reality.
My start date is March 1, 2007. I have my dba and sales tax permit (that's all you need here in Texas), legal arena is covered and meeting with the accountant next week. I know I have to start somewhere, so I am starting out as an In-House Groomer soon to be Mobile (I submitted my application to Wag'n Tails for my van). If I am approved, they say it will take 6-8 weeks to get my van. Please pray that they approve my application. If I am not approved, I will continue to do in-house until I am in a position to buy a van outright. I have made brochures, business cards and fliers. I have made welcome goodie packages out of chinese boxes (with paws on them), treats and toys. I have so many ideas that I am about to bust.
Guys, look at my website at: www.poochieperfectspa.com and tell what you think. Look at my Photo Gallery and check out my work. Click on the picture and you can see the 'before' picture as well. Keep in mind, the styles are what the client requested. There are a few I wish I could have done a little different (like leaving a little more on the legs or making the beards shorter but the client did not want it). I want to know what you think about everything. I can accept criticism, bring it on!
At my day job, work is slow and he is talking about either mandatory days off or possible lay-offs. So he is moving quicker than I expected and I am not fully ready. But I will just go with the flow and move my business in full force. Stay focus and build up my clientele. I have now been married for 9 months and just bought a new house so I can't afford to be without a paycheck.
I have mapped out hitting all the vet clinics in my area this weekend, putting up my fliers in any windows that will allow it.
Guys, I eat and sleep about being a mobile groomer. I know I am making my husband, family and friends sick but I don't care. I want it that much!
Keep me in your prayers,
LadyCee
