Not bad to begin with I think

I've been grooming part time in my home for a year now and would REALLY like to make it a full time business. I'll be posting more for ideas and suggestions to help me.

I was wondering, do you tend to charge more than mentioned for most pets? Those price ranges seem low to me, especially for such a special service provider as a home groomer! It would also be great to see pictures on there of your grooming area and some before/after grooms, too. Be sure to keep us up-to-date on updates!

I think it is a cute website how nice of your son. I found one sentence you may want to change... "If your dog or cat has fleas, we'll use a solution to kill them"
I know you mean kill the fleas, but some people aren't so bright ya know lol!

One of the things I've struggled with is my pricing, especially with some of the smaller breeds. I have no problem with pricing on large dogs. Nobody around here wants to do them and I love them, plus I'm paid very well for them. I'm off now to check the price ranges we have in there. THANKS

I've never viewed my home grooming as a special service ... I thought customers would perceive it as low overhead. I need to change that thinking and market it as special.

I have some before/after pictures on an old digital camera I'm borrowing from my dad. We just need to figure out how to get them off the camera and into my computer. Another project for my son LOL!

Oh no, I believe home grooming is a VERY special service!!! I groom dogs in my home and love explaining how much less stress is involved for the dogs, how I don't usually have to crate, how much extra love and attention my clients' dogs recieve, how I'm the ONLY groomer, etc.

I agree with everyone that you have a great son and he has done a wonderful job on the website!

I have one suggestion: at least on my computer, I get to each page and can scroll down to see the entire page, but your phone number is almost always below the level I can see when the page first appears. Maybe your address and phone # should be near the top where they can be seen without scrolling down. JMO

Like the others I'm so looking forward to seeing pics.
I groom at home and always thought my prices should be lower because, no overhead. Maybe I'll have to rethink this idea of mine. I do stress the fact that their dog is usually the one and only that I'm doing, less stress for the dog, more one on one attention, and usually out and ready to go home in 1 hr. I guess we are offering something special.

Yup, you're right. He's a Whippet, mine actually and is the "almost" perfect dog. Finished his AKC Championship easily and just living a life of luxury as a pet now.

Grooming him is soooooo nice.
