  • My Venus

We had to lay our dane Venus to rest last week. She would have been 11 on September 1. She was everything you'd want in a dog, loyal, protective, smart, beautiful. She never did anything I didn't want her to do. Her spondylosis (degenerative spinal arthritis) has reached a point where she could hardly walk w/o falling, couldn't stand w/o help and I had to hold her up to potty. I wasn't ready, but she was ready to go. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I can only hope there is a heaven or reincarnation, I want to be w/ her again someday. Goodbye baby girl, you changed my life in so many ways. Click image for larger version

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.

Oh my goodness. I am so, so sorry for your loss. It sucks when this happens. Just know in your heart that you gave her the best life a dog could have and that you will see her again one day. Hugs.

So sorry for your loss. She will remain in your heart until the two of you see each other again.
