  • I will miss you, sweet Gigi...

I have lost about 4 pets (that I groom) and one human client over the last month and a me such a sad feeling. Gigi was one of two dogs that were my very first regular clients out here in AZ. Her mommy is a sweetheart, and just loves me and the way I treat her babies. Gigi was a maltese, who was such a lover. She began acting out of character and after seeing some specialists, they discovered she had cancer. She had lesions in her brain, developed a mass on one foot and would bruise. The mass was removed and they were treating her with medications (not sure what) to help with everything else. I got a sad call today from her mommy that she passed away on Saturday. I had a feeling that the last time I groomed her would be the last time I saw her, I can't say why. I even gave her a lot of extra treats and hugged and kissed her a looong time, just in case. Now, I feel bad for not trying to think more positively. I am sure it wasn't me, I just have a spiritual/energy side way of thinking about life. I sent her mommy a big, fat bouquet of yellow Lillies with a note to express my thoughts.

So, here's to you, Gigi: May you spend eternity in a happy, pain-free place, where you can eat cookies all day long! You sure made your mommy's world a happy place for a long time, and you brought some extra sunshine to mine.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Gigi sounds like such a sweet girl.

You have had much sadness this month. Hopefully that will be the end of it for a very long while.

I'm sorry to hear about GiGi, I really get tears in my eyes when I read these pet memorials.

That was so thoughtful of you to send her a big bouquet of flowers, I bet she realized someone does understand her pain.
