  • Viva la Poet and Eggnog.

It was a long and glorious ride, and I will always be touched that you invited me to be a part of it.

My heart is a bit shattered tonight, as I made the decision to let them both go. My vet came to the house.

    This one is for me.

We who choose to surround ourselves with lives,
even more temporary than our own,
    live within a fragile circle
    easily and often breached.

Unable to accept its awful gaps
    we still would live
    no other way.

    We cherish memory
    as the only certain immortality,
    never fully understanding
    the necessary plan.

Thank you my friends, for every word of advice, guidance, and support you have offered, and all the laughs that we shared for "We Who Groom (or not) Kitties".

In a very, very, small house...they were a very, very big presence, and they will be missed.

Often it's not what you say, but how you say it.

      Awwwww

Losing our dearest animals is so hard. There seems to be a LOT of loss lately. I am sorry any of you have to experience this. So sorry, I really am also.

Loving our pets is wonderful, loosing them is hard, but we wouldn't want to live a day without them.

        Sorry for your loss Bern

How lucky the kitties were to share their life with you. I bet they are young and kittenish, leaping, and playing at the Bridge. Hope you are okay.

I've been thinking about Poet the last few weeks and wondering but was afraid to inquire. His memory will certainly live on at GroomerTalk. You made Eggnog's life the bestest it could be. I'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry. It is the hardest thing about loving our animals so much. My thoughts are with you through this very painful time.

Bernie, my friend, Im so sorry. What a privilege for Poet & Eggnog to have had YOU for a mom - and an even bigger honor for them to have been YOUR kitties.

                    I'll call you later today.

How perfect the words, how heart wrencing and exhausting the pain of loss. I wished I loved Parrots or Tortoises so they could be around longer.

                      So Sorry.

We're so sorry, Bernie. I'm sure Eggy and Poet would say they were just as honored and lucky to have you for a mom. We've been thinking about you and your kitties often, and how hard you worked to keep them happy even in the face of adversity (and bathing). Lots of warm thoughts and prayers, a long distance hug and poodle kisses. (The last comes from actual poodles, we promise not to lick your face ourselves.)
