  • jenny44 update

I was jenny44 but now am mobiler44. My mistake when I reregistered.I couldn't get in under old name.
I wrote that i had bad lungs, and Drs said the inside of mine looked like the coat of a poodle. (I also smoked).
I was, and still am allergic to 99% of the meds the Drs want me to take. I have had lung surg, (all C gone), lost my mpg business in Cal, and relocated to Ark. I shipped my van here, but only drove 30 mi and blew engine. (The groomer i trained for 2 1/2 yrs didn't take good care of it.) Then at the mechanics for a new engine, it was vandalized with a broken w/shield and side window. Trashed inside and smashed equipment. Otherwise I would be working now.
It's been a long year for me, and I can only go up from here,(I hope).
Thanks to all who wrote and cared. Jenny

            Sure do remember

you and your lungs. Wow. I feel like saying, Otherwise Mrs. Lincoln how was the Play? I had a terrible year once, so bad. Broken wrist, litter of ten with staff infection, wrist wouldn't heal, Father died suddenly at 55, two pups with permanent defects, Person dating cheated on me - those were just the things I remember. It seems many people have a year like that. I'm done, now you are too. Wishing you a good new beginning in Arkansas.
Money will buy you a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of it's tail.

Oh my goodness maybe you got it all out of the way. What do you mean when the surgeon said your lungs looked like a poodle coat? Did you actually have tons of hair imbedded in there? I was wondering how many people ever had lung issues from inhaling hair for years. Do most people without a clipper vac wear a mask when clipping and drying? Hope your up and running soon. Don't weary yourself out too fast though.

ugh about the dog hair...i know when i go back to bathing/drying or hopefully training to be a groomer...i am DEFINATELY going to wear a mask when doing this! no matter WHAT! it seems like ever since i was fired (probably about 2 1/2 months ago) (been working at the grocery store for about 1 month) and i worked at the groomers for 8 months...it seems like i keep getting sick with SOMETHING! first it was this extremly bad cold thing going around (dad had it,gave it to bro, who gave it to sis, who gave it to me, and both me and my sis had the cough, plghem etc for about 2 1/2 wks taking otc meds)...NOW that ive been working at the grocery for about 1 month...the other day i got like a sore throat...took some throat drops didnt think anything of it, went to work sat with a pounding headache, voice was going...voice went and finally came back and its still a little iffy...but JEEZ!!! ive NEVER been sick before! at least nothing more than a common cold! it seems like my nose hasnt been clear for months LOL! and now sometimes when i sleep i wheeze a little...it really depends..but at times there is an AUDABILE wheezing sound when i breathe! no med insurance...so when i get married im DEF. going to get checked out. the whole 9 yards LOL!
boy oh boy...sorry to hear about your problems jenny! hopefully you get LOTS AND LOTS of good luck coming your way soon!

Jenny, I hope since you've had to put all this money into your van (so sorry to hear about this and your health problems), that you will spend a little more on a clipper vacuum system. You NEED it. It's not a want, it's a NEED.

Hello all. it's me again. Jenny44. I made it through the year w/o seeing a dr at all, and threw all my meds in the closet! The effects of the meds(i'm allergic to them) were to hard to live with. Actually i felt better except for the fact that i couldn't breathe well. There is one antibiotic i can sort of stand, but ran out.
I went to have a lung test for ssi, and they made me use an inhaler. I was admitted to hosp within 15 hrs for 5 days. Because the drs must inject the antidote before the meds in the iv, I was able to tolerate them while in hosp. When i went home, the antidote wore off 1st and i lived a he-- for the next 6 days. Finally over it now.
Still not working my van. I've not had enough "air" to function.
Yes, Ive been using a vac system for the last 6 yrs. I bought a 'groomer in a bucket' at a Barkley show in burbank, ca. It cost me $125 which i could afford. Now i just buy the att's and use my shopvac. (Please refer to my old post).but by the time the industry was made aware of the probs, I had already written articles for "Mobile Madness". (This was the 1st mobile groomer assoc, and contrary to popular belief, Jesse joined me to start it and managed to dump me later.)
I also designed the 1st mobile grooming contest staged in Ca by Barkley. Sally and Gwen know this is the truth, but no one has ever given me any recognicion for all my efforts. Even Frank knows the truth.
But enough of my chatter. It's SO good to know youre all still here. Thanks for caring jenny44
